I was supposed to be on my own this whole week, as D was heading to the east coast for a family visit. Needless to say, that didn’t end up happening. ANYWAY, I had big plans to make a bunch of pressure canned stock, which I completely bailed on now that I don’t have hours of aloneness to fill (HA).

But today, upon feeling really tired of a stuffed refrigerator, I consulted the ball book for veggie stock, and found I had most of the stuff on hand. It’s a mishmash of garden grub (carrots, garlic, parsley, leftover leek bits, sweet pepper, tomato), market stuff (parsnips–instead of turnips, but I had them), and grocery store (celery and onions). My fridge is slightly less packed, and oh it smells SO good.
